Mastering Mathematics for nursery schools is a series of two books designed to help children to practice basic and essential skills which are at the heart of the curriculum for nursery mathematics. These skills, will be the key to the children’s later development and success in mathematics.

This first book of the series treats the basic rudiments of mathematical skills at the end of which the children should be able to:

1. Identify number symbols from 1 to 100
2. Count and write numbers up to 50
3. Recognise and name colours and shapes
4. Know and compare differences in lengths, heights, weights and volume.
5. Know simple addition and subtraction within the number symbols 1 to 10
6. Know about odd and even numbers
7. Know about money denominations
8. Can tell the time
